WebSite SLOW and almost unusable, error messages every three interactions with filters

Today the WebSite is VERY SLOW and unresponsive, the request to the DB in the background seem to take ages to come back, sometimes even timeout.

Every three interactions with the filtering in search, i.e.

• selecting "online only" or deselecting it, 
• or i.e. changing the sort order on the search page

today result into error messages like "Oops, something went wrong, try again", but only after long wait times for site responds.

PS: Ich hab's mal in Englisch geschrieben, dann könnt ihr's gleich in die Entwicklung geben.
